David has been in the accounting profession for almost 25 years. He began his career as Assistant Controller for a local company. He went on to hold various positions with several local CPA firms. As a Partner in one firm, he was responsible for managing the relationships with several Fortune 500 Companies and recovering lost profits for those entities. His experience includes a specific focus on small business consulting and tax planning for high net worth individuals. He also has held CFO level positions at two local companies. David has helped sell several small businesses to major corporations and was an integral part in providing due diligence services and negotiating a sales price. David, Daniel, and Whit founded Brown, Hiers and Associates in 2017 offering personalized services to businesses of all sizes.
